As a child, Verdramatic slept in a room with padded walls. Everyone called it kindness. The padding was actually there to keep the room from hearing the dreams. Each morning, a new fold appeared around the little blue eyes.

The first performance was a funeral for a broken cup. Nobody came. Verdramatic repeated it until the cup grew tired of being dead and put itself back together. The applause came from inside the walls.
